An exceptional collector's item, limited to only 100 copies. To mark the reopening of the Rhône in 2022, 100 high-quality, numbered reproductions of the original bronze steam engine plate were produced by the renowned French artisan company Bronze d'Art Français.
The last paddle steam salon boat built in Switzerland, the Rhône (1927) is distinguished by a unique steam engine, equipped with an automatic pressure lubrication system, representing the culmination of the know-how of the Sulzer Frères company of Winterthur.
It is precisely the bronze plate of this legendary machine, the one the mechanic saw every day in the engine room, that served as the model for this reproduction. Handcrafted by Bronze d'Art Français, each piece measures 7,0 x 4,7 cm, is numbered from 1 to 100 on the back and bears the inscription "Rhône III Steam Engine, 1927".
A rare piece, intended for collectors and enthusiasts of Lake Geneva's maritime heritage. The 100 copies are available while supplies last.
