Experience the Belle Époque on Lake Geneva

Century-old ships still in service

The eight Belle Époque steamships we are preserving are not mere museum pieces. Thanks to the generosity of our donors and restoration efforts, several of them continue to sail on Lake Geneva, transporting passengers on a truly unique experience. These century-old giants invite you on a journey back in time. The Compagnie Générale de Navigation (CGN) operates them daily: it is through them that you can book your cruise and board these living legends.

Two partners, one common mission

To ensure that these century-old boats continue to sail, two actors work hand in hand, each in their area of expertise.

ABVL - The guardians of heritage

Our role is to finance the restoration and preservation of the Belle Époque fleet. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we have invested nearly 40 million francs since 2002. We do not manage navigation or reservations: our mission is to safeguard these giants for future generations.

The CGN's Belle Époque Vevey steamship, flying the Swiss flag, sails on the calm waters of Lake Geneva at sunrise, with morning mist on the mountains in the background, a blue sky dotted with contrails, and golden, low-angled light.

CGN - Your shipping company

The Compagnie Générale de Navigation (CGN) operates the fleet daily: schedules, tickets, cruises, and onboard events. You book your place and board with them. CGN keeps these boats running smoothly on Lake Geneva, day after day.

Help these boats continue their journey
