A highly anticipated return to Nyon
Nyon last had the privilege of hosting this spectacular aquatic ballet in 2013. This year, after a 2025 season marked by significant technical downtime and the cancellation of the May parade, the Belle Époque fleet returns in full force. The event will take place both on Lake Geneva and along the Nyon quays, from 12:00 PM to 18:00 PM, offering an exceptional festive setting just a stone's throw from the majestic Mont Blanc.
The fleet takes center stage: four iconic boats and one new addition
This 2026 edition will feature four of the jewels of the historic fleet, including three steamships:
- Le "Montreux" (1904), oldest ship in the fleet, re-engined with a new steam engine in 2001
- The « Italie » (1908), whose complete renovation, financed to the tune of 10,6 million francs by the ABVL between 2015 and 2016, was the subject of a memorable campaign
- Le « Savoie » (1914)
- Le "Rhône" (1927)
The parade will also be an opportunity to present the NAVIEXPRESS “Evian-les-Bains”, which will be commissioned in 2024, will complete this exceptional picture. “Lausanne” (1991) will participate as a grandstand boat, offering an unobstructed view of the choreography.
A show not to be missed: the naval choreography
The highlight of the day will be the naval choreography, scheduled from 14:15 p.m. to 15:45 p.m. A true aquatic ballet lasting an hour and a half, it will showcase the skill and technical prowess of our crews. From 15:00 p.m. onwards, the show will be freely viewable from the Nyon quays, with free admission for the public.
To experience the event up close, you can board one of the five parade boats or the grandstand boat. Departures are organized from 09:30 am from the ports of Geneva, Bellevue, Versoix, Coppet, Nyon, Yvoire, Rolle, St-Prex, Morges, St-Sulpice, Lausanne, Évian, Lutry, Cully, Vevey-Marché, Montreux and Le Bouveret.
Adult fares are CHF 69 from most ports, CHF 52 for the grandstand boat, and CHF 42 for boarding with a meal in Nyon. Children aged 6 to 16 receive discounted fares, and children under 5 travel free.
Practical information
The RC1 cantonal road will be closed between the Clémenty roundabout and the Vy Creuse river from 11:00 AM to 18:00 PM. The City of Nyon recommends using public transportation. Food stalls offering both on-site dining and takeaway options will be available along the quays throughout the event.
